The Linear AKR-1 is a digital keypad entry
system that includes a built-in radio receiver. It
allows use of up to 480 block coded transmitters,
in addition to 480 traditional keypad entry codes.
Users can be assigned either type of code for system
access.
Two relay outputs are provided:one for
gate or door access; the other for gate obstacle control
using the MGT, the industry's only supervised safety
edge transmitter. If an MGT is not used the second
relay can control another door or gate.
Installation and set-up are simple. The
AKR-1 operates on 12-24 volts, ac or dc. It can be
powered directly from the radio power output of most
gate operators. Learning suspending, or deleting entry
codes or transmitters is as easy as pressing a few
key on the AKR-1's built in keypad. Program data is
stored in low-volatile EEPROM; data retention is in
excess of 10 years, even in the event of a power failure
The AKR-1 keypad is compatible with all
Linear's block coded transmitters, which are programmed
and supplied in sequential order. Each transmitter
is labeled with its unique ID code and also has a
facility code. The combination of these two codes
provides the same level of security as a traditional
Wiegand swipe or proximity card.
