Breaking News : Delgard is Acquired by Jerith Aluinum Fence

As I am sure you may have heard by now, Jerith Manufacturing has just completed the purchase of Delgard Premier Aluminum Fencing from Delair LLC. I am sure you have a lot of questions about the acquisition, so here is some information that might answer some of those questions:

- Jerith Manufacturing Company, Inc. officially acquired Delgard Premier Aluminum Fencing from Delair LLC on October 26. Combining the two largest manufacturers of aluminum fence just makes sense strategically. We are operating in the same region, have several mutual customers, and, like all fence companies, have both seen our sales hurt by the recession. We are excited to be in growth mode once again.
- For the next few months (and possibly longer), Jerith will continue to produce all of the standard Delgard designs with the same price, discount, and terms that you have been receiving from Delgard. Similar discounts, though slightly less, will be available on Jerith products as well.
- By the end of 2013, Delgard and Jerith 5/8” square picket, 3/4” square picket, and 1” square picket fences will probably each be combined into one product line instead of two. We will discuss this with a variety of Delgard customers like yourself to see which combinations make the most sense, and where you would like to see improvements in the Delgard line of products. The main difference between these three product lines is that Jerith uses a
screwless system for Residential, while Delgard’s fence is screwed together.
- Delgard has unique fence designs which use 1” x 5/8” rectangular pickets to produce an 8 foot long (Aero) and 6 foot long (American Series) section. Jerith did not have anything comparable to these lines. This was one of the primary reasons for the acquisition, along with the increase in our market share.
- Because of the close proximity of the two fence manufacturer’s operations, Delgard’s 300,000+ square foot plant will be consolidated into the Jerith facility. Jerith currently has a 444,000 square foot building on 36 acres in northeast Philadelphia with 3 automated powder
coating lines.
- A large number of machines, dies, and inventory must be moved and set up in our facility, so there will be delays over the first 6-8 weeks as we try to integrate the Delgard equipment into the Jerith production line. Please be patient during this start up period. Keep in mind that we
are striving to maintain our high quality standards during this transition stage. Since we are close to the holiday season though, there should not be too much disruption in orders. Also, Now by Jerith products will be readily available if you need material a little quicker than we can deliver your Delgard fence order due to the move.

Most of you are familiar with Jerith and our products, so you know that Delgard products will now be supported by the oldest and largest aluminum fence company in North America.
