All GTO Low Voltage Automatic Gate Openers are powered by a 12 volt DC/7.0 amp hour, sealed, rechargeable gel-cell battery. The life expectancy of these batteries is 3-5 years. Replacement batteries are available. 

The Bulldog Pedestrian Gate Lock is powered by a 12 volt/1.2 amp hour sealed, rechargeable gel-cell battery. Battery life is 3-5 years.
